I've been in Alabama! We left Friday morning to visit my grandparents again. It was good to visit, I know it meant alot to them. Reagan was very good, very pleasant. She's always such a good baby when we travel (once we get there...on the way, not so much sometimes).

Warning: Possibly mind-numbingly boring paragraph ahead. :D
The first night, sleep wasn't great. She didn't get to sleep until almost 10 PM, and even then she tossed and turned soo much. She did let me put her in the playpen, and slept for about 3 or 4 hours I guess, which was GREAT. Still, after that, she wanted to sleep with me and still woke up at about 6 AM, for the day. The next night was nice, though. I was very proud of her. She went down on time, and even slept in the playpen most of the night (co-sleeping is all well and good, but she tosses and turns and I can't sleep at all when we sleep together). Even when she did wake up, I could feed her and put her right back, which was nice.

So that's kind of random, but if I try and explain all that to anyone, it comes out very boring and I can just see their eyes glazing over. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND. LOL. It is SUCH a big deal to get a good night's sleep when we're out of town with her, they just have NOOO IDEA. Maybe you moms understand. ;D

My grandfather is doing better. He's very fragile, very weak, but he just had open heart surgery, so what do you expect? heh. I'm glad we visited, and I'm glad John was able to come with us this time. My grandpa LOVES him. He really does. He talks about him to my dad all the time, and to me, and everything. John was a big help while we were there. He was also very helpful with Reagan, he would change her diaper without me having to say anything, he took her to the main room and played with her for almost 2 hours that first morning so I could get some extra sleep...it was nice.

And I'll end this with a video. She started doing this funky crawling thing, just for one day...she had never done it before, and hasn't done it since. LOL. I guess she figured the normal way was more efficient, but it was still hilarious! Definitely wanting to walk!

Sometimes she does get up on one knee and try to stand up without any help. Crazy girl.

isn't it ironic?

Of course, days after I spend $20 on baby food, she is now refusing to eat anything that she can't feed herself. Curses! OH, and $20 = ALOT of baby food. That's about $0.40/jar.

Oh well, it's good that she wants to do it herself, I guess.

Any creative ideas on what to do with this food? I spread some apples and pears on her toast that she is eating now, but at that rate it will be months before we go through this stuff. Any other ideas?

Also, video time! Her squealing, first-hand.
