Yes, at 18.5 months, we finally gave the child a haircut. Woohoo!

( See more cuteness! )
We decided to continue trying to let her hair grow to the side, instead of trying to change up the whole way it's set (for the life of me, I cannot make it part down the middle). Otherwise it might be a huge mess, and I'm not in the mood for that right before Christmas pictures! So I don't have any major after pictures, but her hair still looks the same, just maybe not as shaggy. I'll still need to pull it to the side with a barrette (which I've been doing daily). I'll get some gel to help with that as well.
She has really cool hair, though, especially in the back. It has a layered look, and kind of curls out. It's really cute, I'm glad she didn't cut all that off.
That lady (Kim) used to cut John's hair when he was a kid, and John insisted that she cut Reagan's. It was a 45 minute drive (from our house to her shop), but hey, first haircuts don't happen every day!

First word! First "real" word, I should say!
::does a happy dance::
I kept saying "look at Daddy!/say Da-da!/hi daddy!" over and over again, with John right there, and he said it a few times too. She laughed at us a bunch, squealed, did her "heh-heh" thing (it's weird, it's like she's coughing, only it's a fake coughing. She just goes heh-heh! ha-ha! over and over again), and then stopped.
I said it over and over again, pointing at John. Finally we gave up, and he sat down, and THEN she said "daa-dee!"
I almost DIED. Seriously. John just heard the "daa" part, because she said the second part quieter, but it was DEFINITELY "daddy". It's not a sound she's ever made before, and she never enunciates different sounds like that!
So of course I called my parents, haha!
I tested it out a few times afterwards, she didn't say it again, but I would say "Where did daddy go?!" and she would look around for him (something she doesn't really do, unless she's looking for me). I did that 3 or 4 times, even with him out of the room, and when he was in the room she would look right at him.
Awww! :)
Of course, her being the crazy girl she is, probably won't say another word until her 1st birthday. She's sneaky like that. ;D Funny thing is, I've been saying "ma-ma" to her OVER and OVER and OVER again. Every single time I pick her up, I say "come to mama!" or just "mama!". That's alot. I say it all the time, and have for weeks. I rarely say "dada" to her, maybe a few days a week, but still it's only when John is here. What the heck? LOL. Oh well, I'm still excited.
I downloaded "Gimp", a photo editing thing. It's REALLY complicated, but it was free and I could probably get the hang of it, with a few tutorials. I finally figured out how to do "selective coloring".....

Still, isn't that awesome? I'm excited about the possibilities. I might get her to hold a flower or something, you know how they do those pictures. Fun!
She's standing by herself more and more, too. Only when I let go of her, she doesn't just do it by herself very often, but I do it to give her some practice. John said she stood for almost 10 seconds while I was at work the other day, he even paused his game (lol) and she kept standing. Craaazy.
Ok, I'm done now!

- Mood:
excited
Reagan keeps trying to stand up, without even using something to pull up on. What the heck, girly?! She'll get on her knees, and then put one leg up (foot down), and try and just stand up using just sheer strength in her legs. Of course she doesn't even come close, and topples over immediately, but it's still freaky!
More later, I'm hungry right now. Her 9 month appointment was today, so a few stats/pictures later!

Just a quick note....
Not only is Reagan pulling up like it's nothing, but she has started slowly "cruising" along whatever she pulls up on. Sometimes she tries to stand on her own, but it doesn't work.
At this rate, she'll be walking before her 1st birthday. I AM NOT READY FOR THIS.
